New Water Restrictions		County Commissioner
Emerald Forest resides in an area that is presently under water restrictions, controlled by the St. Johns River Water Management District. Landscape irrigation is restricted, regardless of whether you get your water from the city, a well, the lake, or pond. The rules are as follows: o Odd numbered addresses can water Wednesday and Saturday during Daylight Savings Time, and Saturday only during Standard Time. o Even numbered addresses can water Thursday and Sunday during Daylight Savings Time, and Sunday only during Standard Time. o No one can water from 10:00am thru 4:00pm any day. Penalties up to $500 per violation may apply if you don't follow these restrictions. Remember, these are for the benefit of everyone. Especially, don’t feed it. If you do, you take the very real chance of making it no longer afraid of humans. Broken Street Lights If you have a malfunctioning or broken street light near your house, report it to Progress Energy via their website. They often come out within 3 days to repair.
