Nothing compares to living in an active
community. A community that always has
something wonderful happening. That
cannot be done without volunteers like you.
If you have an idea for a social event that you would like to see
happen right here in your neighborhood, join the committee and make it
happen. Members of the Social Committee help assemble stories and
pictures from past events, and prepare announcements of coming attractions. |

The Newsletter Committee meets infrequently -but
when they do- it is to assemble the Emerald Forest Newsletter. They also assemble contributions for the
Local News and Tips portion of the website.
What better chance to help keep your neighbors informed but to support
this great group. Be instrumental in
putting together and distributing this fine form of journalism. |

Here is your chance to influence the entire
neighborhood. Every time you come home
from work and play, wouldn’t it be great to see the fruits of your
input. This team has the awesome
mission of keeping the entrances beautiful and refreshing, as well as the
pond area a focal point of our community.
When it is time for a landscaping enhancement, the Landscaping Team is
the source for input and suggestions.
You can contribute with your muscle, or your creative flair. Either way, become part of this team. |

The annual meeting occurs in January each
year. This is where you gather the
entire membership of the community to elect board members, pass major
enhancements that would require a Special Assessment, and discuss the
direction and vision of the board and the committees. Your participation on this group would be
to provide ideas on how to enhance the likelihood of a quorum, the flow of
the meeting, and the topics covered.
You would also tally any votes that occur during the meeting. This team meets once in late August or
early September. Any additional
gatherings would be on an as-needed basis.
They present their plan to the board at the October monthly
meeting. Please consider joining this
committee. Your time requirement is
minimal, but the effect you can have on your neighborhood is tremendous. It is estimated your obligation to this
committee would be only 2 hours. |

The Emerald Forest HOA Board of Directors elects
new members at the Annual Meeting in January.
But occasionally, due to personal circumstances, a member has to
resign during their term. When that
occurs, the Board needs to replace that member as soon as possible. To make yourself available should an
opening occur, please click on the link at the left and send an email
containing a brief resume. Include your name, address, telephone, and
a paragraph or two explaining yourself.
The Board will keep this resume on file and contact you should an
opening occur between annual meetings.
Note, this does NOT replace the established process of applying for a
Board position during the Annual Meeting.
Even if you have sent in your resume through this link, you must still
follow the process at the end of the year to get your name on the ballot for
the annual election. |
